Oil suction strainer
The requirement: To protect the oil suction pump below the crankcase retaining impurities of defined size, with a slight loss of load so as not to interfere with the flow and therefore the lubrification of the instruments.
The METAL DEPLOYE solution: An investigation was conducted to meet the filtration criteria, whilst taking the fixing method for the piece and the watertightness into account. Expanded metal avoids any bulging in appearance, any extra pieces or any insertion for bonding the mesh, with the possibility of great transparency.
One simple stamped piece fitted the purpose and the cost of producing it was very low.
By providing the customer with prototypes, the customer could valid the design and confirm, from the initial samples, that the technical demands could be met repeatedly.
