The requirement: This project was for the exterior cladding of a tubular structure that protects the driver and passenger, for a commercial vehicle.
The design of the partition reflects that of the vehicle: innovative in the design and the fitting out. In addition to the various technical functions there had to be stylishness (innovatory aesthetics, lightness, soft to touch, transparency for looking backwards, mechanical performance for load, crashes and vibrations, distinct curved lines, the possibility of reproducing so that mesh from different pieces could be aligned, target costs). A huge project due to the diversity of requirements and their compatibility.
The METAL DEPLOYE solution: During our investigations all these criteria were taken into consideration, including the supply of pieces ready to be mounted with the design of the necessary cutting - drawing tools.
A square shaped mesh, flat, with a low strip section for a large format long diagonal x short diagonal, was used by our components manufacturer customer and the car manufacturer.
his product successfully passed all the load tests with crashes and matched all the designer's and research department's expectations. Studies into industrializing production for the pieces and their assembly, with the customer, meant that mass production could start without any hitches.
