Hôpital Pierre-Bérégovoy

The architectural practice AART-Farah have developed wide experience in the design of hospitals, with more than fifteen renowned hospital projects throughout France. At Nevers, the projet for the Pierre-Bérégovoy hospital included a multifonctional building with 4 medical-surgical centres, a centre for mothers and children, a centralised medical-technical plateau, a logistics plateau, administration and car parking.

Starting with a cleared site, the architects made a design based upon "An urban archiectural project of inserting buildings into a green field site whilst merging it into the surroundings". Their wish was to give a comtemporary, social and cultural expression to this building destined to serve a population of 225 000 inhabitants, and lead them in the choice of Metal Déployé to clad the facade on the cylindrical buildings. In this project, Metal Deployé played with transparency in the choice of the SUPREME 200 XL1 mesh. Despite its wide strip, this product does not affect the lightness of the whole of the latticework.
