Emergency Centre, Aubervilliers - [BP] Architectures
The architects Jean Bocabeille and Ignacio Prego, from the agency [BP] Architectures, chose the SIGMA 115 S perforated sheeting to clad the façades of the Aubervilliers emergency centre. This fire station underwent a complete renovation in 2010 with, at the top of the objectives, exterior thermal insulation.
The powder coating in two shades of red brings to mind, very visibly, the use of the building.
"The architects put to use Métal Déployé panels which, thanks to their fine perforations/mesh, naturally ventilate the wall whilst shading and visually lightening the opaque surfaces, notably on the gables. Moreover, thanks to the use of the shades of red arranged in a random manner, this new cladding creates kinetic façades which vibrate to the rhythm of the movement around the building."
